Dylan's
About This Spot
Stepping into Dylan’s is like slipping into a cherished snapshot of Vancouver’s past, where the slow hum of a familiar neighborhood diner invites you to pause and settle in. The atmosphere here blends a retro charm from the 80s and 90s with a quietly welcoming warmth that makes it feel less like a restaurant and more like a well-loved community kitchen. Time moves gently, conversations unfold easily, and the clink of coffee cups mingles with soft background music, setting a comfortable pace for both early risers and midday visitors.
This cozy lunch spot holds a true local rhythm—part mom-and-pop nook, part familiar gathering place. The walls, adorned with handwritten menus and vintage details, speak of stories shared over countless breakfasts and lunches. You might find a table surrounded by regulars, often seasoned residents who’ve made Dylan’s their neighborhood home away from home, where everyone knows your name and the friendly staff greet you with an easy smile.
While known for their all-day breakfast offerings, the kitchen here stretches beyond morning fare into hearty, approachable meals that feel satisfying without fuss. From the comforting sizzle of hash browns and eggs to savory sandwiches and classic fish and chips, each bite echoes the unpretentious, no-rush vibe that defines the space. Whether you’re savoring a robust cup of coffee or enjoying a simple lunch, the flavors here are part of a lived-in experience, grounding you in a place where food comes with a side of honest kindness.
Though tucked into a modest, retro building near public transit and with its own parking, Dylan’s never aims to impress with flash but rather with familiarity—carrying an air of quietly confident comfort that draws people back time and again. It’s the kind of spot where your visit feels like being invited to someone’s kitchen table, where good food meets heartfelt company in the ebb and flow of daily life.

The whole vibe is '1980-1990 decor plus all the hand written menus on walls. Interesting and chill. Food was not bad and I really liked the hash browns!

A cute, homey little neighbourhood diner. Love that they do all day breakfast here. Service is nice and friendly. Many elderly regulars during lunch time , so make sure to come early/before 12:30 especially if you’re a party of more than 3 people.

Has your little hole in the wall feel with wonderful friendly staff and great food. A little bit pricey but, the atmosphere and staff make you feel like you are back in your mom's kitchen at home

Everything was perfect — I’ll definitely be back. I’m really happy to have discovered this place in the neighborhood. Love the environment and music as well.

Earlier in the afternoon decided to give them a try, especially considering the reviews of the restaurant, so I tried their Open Faced Denver with fries. The size of the meal was good, although considering the price it was fair-good, likely other items on their menu are of a similar size and even more affordable. I liked as well the options for sugar and the condiments on the tables. The service was simply fair, the location could look a little bit more clean (although it's not like it's dirty either), and the atmosphere was despite not being the type of atmosphere I feel the most comfortable with, had its kind of personality.

It's a typical diner type atmosphere. The food was good but my husband's corned beef had not much meat on it. Service was great.
